Dog Walking
Our professional dog walking service provides your dog with his much loved walks when you are short of time or energy, are ill or away. Lack of exercise and mental stimulation can lead to boredom and manifest itself in undesirable behaviour such as:

  • Excessive barking
  • Household destructiveness
  • Digging
  • Hyperactivity
  • If you need help meeting your dog‘s daily exercise needs then you may want to consider our fully insured dog walking service. Your pet will have the same walker every time so they build rapport and feel safe and secure, allowing your pet to enjoy fun, stress-free walks and giving you the peace of mind that your pet's well-being is in the hands of caring, professional animal lovers. After one of our walks your pet will be settled down before we leave them, tired and contented.

    Pet / House Sitting
Planning your summer holidays but can‘t take your pet? Why not take advantage of our pet / house sitting service?

We provide pet sitting for almost all domestic animals, such as - Dogs, Cats, Horses, Rabbits, Ferrets, Fish, Reptiles, Hamsters, Birds.

Some of the benefits of using our pet sitting service:

  • A less stressful alternative to kennels/cattery - your pet stays in their familiar home environment where they feel safe, comfortable and secure and they can also follow their usual daily routine, meaning less stress and upheaval for your pet.
  • Especially suited to rescue dogs who may find going back into a kennel environment very stressful.
  • As part of this service we provide a free visit beforehand where we will come to your home so that you and your pet can meet your pet sitter, and so we can take detailed instructions regarding your precise requirements in caring for your pet‘s needs while you are away (feeding, play, exercise, particular likes, dislikes and routines, etc.). We can also administer medication if required and always ensure we have agreed emergency arrangements (vet‘s details etc.), so you can rest assured your pet will be in safe hands while you are away.
  • Your pet will receive one to one attention and fuss from a pet sitter who loves animals and is committed to ensuring your pet‘s happiness and well-being while you are gone.
  • We offer a fully insured, professional and caring service.
  • We are happy to undertake additional light duties if required as part of the pet/house sitting agreement, such as watering plants, taking out rubbish, and picking up post/deliveries. You can even ask us to buy those essential groceries for your return!

When using our pet/house sitting service you will be welcomed back to happy pets, a clean house, healthy house plants and even fresh milk for a cup of coffee after your journey! The sitter will also be on hand to give you a full report of your pet‘s welfare during your absence.

We provide an animal-centred approach that is never compromised and one that is based upon individual attention and needs, providing a professional, caring and conscientious service to ensure your beloved pet's well-being while you are away. We aim to offer the highest standards of service to meet the needs of all our animal, and of course our human, clients.

    Behaviour Consultations
Are you at your wits end with your pet's behaviour? Or maybe you‘re just curious to learn why your companion animal is behaving in a certain way? Sometimes when our pets are displaying inappropriate behaviours it can place our relationship under strain. These problems often get worse with time. However with help it is possible to manage the behaviour, and using a modern, kind and compassionate approach we will support you to find a solution to the behaviour and restore harmony in your relationship with your companion animal.

We can provide help and support with Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rabbits, Ferrets, etc.

Some of the behavioural issues we can help with include:

  • Fears and phobias e.g. loud noises
  • Destructive behaviour
  • Separation issues
  • Aggressive behaviours
  • Grooming and handling issues
  • We do not use or advocate any aversive punishment-based methods, instead preferring to take a holistic relationship-based approach, taking into account a number of factors such as the animal's temperament, past experiences, present environment, diet etc. and using a thorough understanding of animal behaviour and communication. By using this approach we can get to the root cause of the behaviour, so behaviour change is more permanent rather than superficial, as with some other 'training' methods. Our holistic approach to animal behaviour problems will also support you in managing and/or resolving the behaviour with as little stress to both you and your pet as possible, restoring harmony back into your relationship.

    Puppy Advice and Training
Bringing a puppy into your home means a lot of changes for the whole family. While puppies have a high cuteness factor they soon grow up and the early weeks are a highly formative period when your puppy is learning about living with you his new family and the bigger world outside. The early months of a puppy's life are important and if well socialised, a puppy is more likely to grow up into a confident, friendly and well-adjusted dog. The amount of time and guidance you give to your puppy during this formative period will determine whether s/he turns into a well-rounded, easy to live with companion or the neighbourhood thug!

Our puppy training and advice service can guide and support you through:

  • The selection of a puppy that will suit your environment and lifestyle
  • Preventing problems developing during his/her upbringing
  • Daily care and grooming
  • Socialisation
  • House training
  • Advice on play and exercise
  • Nutrition advice

    Rescue Dog Specialist
Adopting a rescue dog can be an exciting and thoroughly rewarding experience. However it can also be a stressful time of re-adjustment for animals and humans alike, especially for animals who may be fearful, nervous or confused due to past traumas or changes. I have many years experience of living with and working with rescue animals and can offer support together with:

  • Guidance on choosing and adopting a dog (or cat) suitable to your environment and lifestyle
  • Advice on stress-free resettlement of your new companion
  • Advice and guidance on preventing and resolving associated behavioural difficulties
  • This service aims to help you choose the right animal and ease you and your companion through the early stages of living together while you will both be adjusting to the changes. Getting things right from the start can help you to enjoy many harmonious years together.

If you have already adopted a rescue companion animal and are experiencing behaviours that are causing you concern we can also offer help and support with behavioural and re-training issues, based on first-hand, practical experience.
